I have been out in the blazing sun in 36 degree heat filming content, there was literally blood, sweat and tears. So, so much sweat and luckily just a bit of blood and tears but I got there in the end after losing a whole day of filming due to audio problems and having to do it all again! These are the learning curves we face as content creators!
I was out there shooting Cobbler’s pegs and some of the main energetic qualities of cobbler’s pegs are persistence, tenacity and not giving up when things feel too hard. I had to dig deep and ask this plant for help to get through this process under what felt like difficult physical and emotional circumstances for a variety of reasons. But I’m so happy with what we got in the end and think its such useful content. I hope you think so too
Today’s video has detailed information on Cobblers pegs plant identification plus there are photos of similar species that may be confused with cobblers pegs so you can differentiate them. I’m sending out that first video to all my free subscribers as well for a bit of a sneak peak behind the paywall. So check your inbox for Plant ID for Cobblers pegs email.
Next week is all about harvesting and then over the next two weeks we will be looking at ways of using them fresh, as a juice, tea or gel or dried as a tea of powder.
For those of you not wanting to subscribe but keen to use try cobblers pegs for yourself here is one of my favorite ways to use it.
Cobblers pegs apple, cucumber and mint juice
I love using this juice for people with bacterial infections, cancer or blood sugar disorders like diabetes or hypoglycemia, it even helps with pre-menstrual sugar cravings. (If you are very sensitive to sugar you may need to leave out the apple.)
3 cups of fresh cobblers pegs leaves and stems roughly chopped into 2-3cm peices
2 apples
1 cucumber
1 sprig of mint
1/4 cup of water
Chop the cobblers pegs and core and chop the apple and cucumber so they will fit in your juicer. If you don’t have a juicer you can make this in a blender and drink it like a smoothie with all the health benefits of all that beautiful fiber!
drink fresh.
